Svaroopa Yoga by Yoga for Everybody in MetroWest Massachusetts area.Svaroopa® yoga is a unique style of hatha yoga that uses precise alignments and support to facilitate healing and enable transformation of the body and mind.

Props are used (blankets, blocks) to support the body where it is, at whatever level of flexibility, to facilitate the release of tension in the body. The practice is slow and meditative, and suitable for every body.

Andrea will guide you through supported poses and gentle breathing techniques designed to dissolve the deepest tensions in your body, quiet your mind and center your awareness. Feel your tensions unravel and your stress melt away...

Svaroopa® yoga's deceptively simple poses soften the tight muscles surrounding the spine. The effect of this spinal opening is to radiate relaxation throughout the body. As spinal tensions dissipate, the mind is quieted and stress fades away. Other benefits include relief from pain, replenishment of energy and mental clarity.

Students at any level of fitness can accomplish Svaroopa® yoga's poses without over-stretching or discomfort. While the practice is gentle, it is effective and profound, and provides benefits to beginning as well as experienced students.

I am grateful that I have found Svaroopa® yoga and that I have such a skilled teacher. Before attending classes I experienced chronic pain and achiness every day. I had become accustomed to the pain and thought it was just part of getting older. Because I have a job that requires sitting all day I would become more and more stiff as the day progressed. While I tried to walk daily I knew I needed a new plan when the pain in my legs and hips kept me up at night. I was also prone to pulling my back muscles with the slightest wrong move.

Since attending yoga I am pain free and I feel stronger and much more flexible. After just one class I began to sleep more soundly. I didn’t even know the degree of discomfort I was experiencing until I was free of it. My posture is much better and I have more stamina. Every night I do a few of the Magic Four before turning in and I sleep deeply.
